The Foonf is Clek’s first convertible car seat, but it shares many featureswith the other Clek seats. The light but strong magnesium frame and theeasy-to-install rigid LATCH system (forward-facing) are classic Clek. Forrear-facing installation, the Foonf will use flexible LATCH connectors and asnap-in anti-rebound bar. Both rear- and forward-facing installation havebuilt-in lockoffs, and a patented energy absorption system is designed to slowdown the seat in a crash.

How REACT™ Safety System works.

In a collision, the vehicle comes to an abrupt stop, but the child continuesto move at the same speed. The less time that it takes for the child to come toa complete stop, the higher the forces exerted on the child. The REACT systemallows that sudden change in momentum to happen over a longer period of timethrough a series of controlled events. The child seat is designed to ride downthe collision crumpling the aluminum honeycomb and absorbing energy from thecollision resulting in less force transferred to the child.

The Foonf is designed to be the next step after your infant car seat, withthe recommendations for use starting at six months: install it rear-facing forkids weighing 14-45 pounds, 25-46 inches in height; forward-facing for kidsweighing 20-65 pounds, 30-49 inches in height.
